Why did you choose the Science Focus Program?

I chose the Science Focus Program because I wanted to be a part of a community that supported me as well as my goals for my future.

What do you like most about the Science Focus Program?

What I like most about the Science Focus Program is that you never have to be alone because someone will always be there supporting you, whether it's a student or a staff member.

What makes the Science Focus Program different?

What makes the Science Focus Program different from other schools is that you get to own your learning through hands-on experience. For example, we have unique opportunities since we are located at the Lincoln Children's Zoo. We get to help the zoo staff with projects while also learning about the animals.

How do you explore your passions or interests at the Science Focus Program?

I explore my passions and interests at the Science Focus Program through the clubs and classes that they offer, such as the Zoo Partnership Outdoor Club.

How has attending the Science Focus Program empowered you as a student?

The Science Focus Program has empowered me as a student by helping me own my learning, which in turn is setting me up for success in my future.

Being a part of an LPS Focus Program such as the Science Focus Program has really given me unique opportunities and confidence to explore my interests. This adds value to my high school experience.

Science Focus Program has prepared me for my future by helping me step out of my comfort zone to be more interactive and helpful with my peers on various research projects, such as collecting data on animal behavior.
